PICTURE EXCLUSIVE - The disused Mail Rail underground rail lines and station pictured beneath Mount Pleasant sorting office. Work has commenced on The Postal Museum which will open in 2017 and be located next to Mount Pleasant sorting office in Clerkenwell, London, England, UK. Visitors to the museum will be able to ride on a train on the famous Mail Rail underground rail line. The underground Mail Rail was used for mail distribution to avoid road congestion until 2003 when the lines were closed. Among the supporters of The Postal Museum are Royal Mail, Post Office and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
