He was seen arriving home in North London after a high speed drive from his BBC Radio 6 show in a silver Mercedes. He had been presenting his Sunday radio show on BBC 6 Music. His co-presenters are stand-up comedians Trevor Lock and Matt Morgan. DJ and poet Mr Gee who presents BBC Radio 4's Bespoken Word poetry show also does a weekly poem on Russell's Sunday show.
