DrugScience founder chair, Professor David Nutt, at the screening of film, Magic Medicine at the Regent Street Cinema, Marylebone, London, England, UK. The film follows volunteers receiving experimental treatment with psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, to see if it can help treat long-term depression. DrugScience is a charity researching the medical uses of psychoactive drugs. The film was followed by a Q&A with Professor David Nutt founding chair of DrugScience and Head of the Neuropsychopharmacology Unit in the Centre for Academic Psychiatry in the Division of Brain Sciences, Dept of Medicine, Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College London. Professor Nutt was formerly chair of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs.
